The College Board

Rainbow’s expert team of copyeditors reviewed the Teacher Editions and Student Editions of SpringBoard Mathematics ©2020, which comprises seven courses across Middle School and High School: Course 1 (grade 6), Course 2 (grade 7), Course 3 (grade 8), Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus.

Rainbow reviewed the teacher wrap instruction as well as the content in the student-page reduxes that appear in the teacher edition. The total volume copyedited included approximately 4,000 pages.

The copyediting review included, but was not limited to, the following:

• Use of standard English grammar and usage
• Spelling errors, including the kind that are typically missed by computerized spelling checks
• Sense (i.e., any illogical, garbled, repeated or missing text)
• Overall appearance (i.e., layouts that appear excessively dense or sparse, especially where images may appear to be missing)
• Mathematical figures and tables
