Content is everything.

I Read to Write ©2021 is designed to help students master the skills needed for close reading and responding to multiple sources on writing assessments.

Among other things, students learn to cite text evidence as they respond to multiple sources; to write across Science, Social Studies, and Math content areas; and to write within three text types: narrative, informative/explanatory, and opinion.

Rainbow was responsible for developing, writing, editing, and/or reviewing all content for both the Student Editions and Teacher Editions, Grades 2–5.

Rainbow’s expert team of copyeditors reviewed the Teacher Editions and Student Editions of SpringBoard Mathematics ©2020, which comprises seven courses across Middle School and High School: Course 1 (grade 6), Course 2 (grade 7), Course 3 (grade 8), Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus.

Rainbow reviewed the teacher wrap instruction as well as the content in the student-page reduxes that appear in the teacher edition. The total volume copyedited included approximately 4,000 pages.

The copyediting review included, but was not limited to, the following:

Rainbow’s Quality Assurance team performed a detailed cold read review on the Summer School Planning and Pacing Guide, Grades 1–5, used in conjunction with the national edition of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s instructional program, Do the Math ©2018.

Rainbow’s team of early childhood specialists planned and developed, within the client’s assessment builder tool, an inventory of Online Playlist Activities to be used in conjunction with Age of Learning’s ABCmouse Early Learning Academy.

All Digital Activities were developed and organized based on specific English Language Arts and Math state standards, Grades K–2.

Rainbow’s team of assessment experts developed the following item types for the Utah Assessment Item Bank—Mathematics, Grades K–2 and 9–12: Equation (EQ) and Grid (MSCR). Technology Enhanced Items included writing and editing of item stem, rubric, item attributes, description of art spec, creation of art (graphics), and inputting into MSCR tool for Math.

Rainbow developed content for the following Grade 2 components of the National Edition of Go Math! ©2011: Teacher Edition, Enrichment Workbook, Planning Guide, Practice Book, and Reteach Workbook, as well as Spanish translations for the School-Home Letters.

Rainbow developed content simultaneously for the Grade 1 Teacher Guides of the National, California, and Texas Editions of HSP Math ©2008. In addition to editorial development, our team handled bookmap creation and management, indexing, and correlation charts for 14 sets of state-specific standards.
